With the Chinese New Year getting ever closer www.nouvellechaussure.fr , the first half of February looks to be dominated by films tailored for the holiday, while mid-February is set to see several romance films catering to couples for Valentines' Day. Perhaps worried that audiences might be experiencing some holiday fatigue, the latter days of February seems fairly empty as it lacks many highly anticipated films debuting during the period. Actually, the total number of films premiering this month is far less than previous year's, with the only imported movies being animated films.

Holiday films

Already in theaters is feature film The New Year's Eve of Old Lee, starring veteran stage comedian Zhao Benshan. For years, Zhao was a constant figure appearing on China Central Television's Spring Festival Gala Nouvelle Nike Air Max Pas Cher , but this year he will greet nationwide audiences on the big screen.

New Year's Eve focuses on Old Lee, an old man suffering from senile dementia, and his family. When his daughter and granddaughter return home for the Chinese New Year, conflict breaks out between the three generations.

The film is filled to the brim with star power, as Yan Ni, Rayza, Aaron Chaussures Nike Air Max Pas Cher , Dapeng and others appear in the film. Several audience reviews point out that a famous celebrity shows up nearly every minute in the film.

Gao Qunshu, New Year's Eve's director, is known for his war and cop films, so this break into comedy is certainly a departure.

The first week of February isn't very busy as New Year's Eve is the only new film. However, on February 8, four films will reach cinemas on what is the first day of the Year of the Monkey: From Vegas To Macau III, Mermaid Nike Air Max Pas Cher , Mr. Nian and The Monkey King 2.

From Vegas to Macau is a major franchise for Hong Kong director Wong Jing. Though the first two films were not reviewed very well - both films have less than a 610 on domestic film website mtime - they feature some of the most bankable actors and actresses in China, such as Chow Yun-Fat, Carina Lau and Andy Lau.

The third installment sees Wong share his director duties with Andrew Lau, best known for his Infernal Affairs films. Lau was also a producer for the previous two From Vegas to Macau films, here's hoping he will bring something new to the franchise.

Although mermaids remain a symbol of beauty and mystery that capture many people's attention, the name of Hong Kong actor-turned-director Stephen Chow is probably all a film needs to bring in audiences. In 2013, Chow's Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2013) was a hit in China Chaussures Homme Nike Air VaporMax Plus Blanche Pas Cher , making Mermaid one of the most anticipated films of the holiday.

While many films nowadays tend to have advance screenings to get audience feedback, Mermaid has been playing its cards close to its chest. Will the studio's confidence in the film be rewarded? We'll just have to wait and see.

While 2014's The Monkey King set records at the box office, it was widely criticized by audiences. Perhaps taking this criticism into account, the sequel, The Monkey King 2, sees Aaron Kwok take over the role of the titular protagonist from Donnie Yen. Early screenings seem to indicate the new film is a vast improvement over its predecessor. Debuting during the Year of the Monkey, the film certainly has good timing.

Mr. Nian is another film for the holidays as this domestic animated film features a monster famous for attacking villages around the new year.

According to the story Chaussures Homme Nike Air Vapormax CS Triple Noir Pas Cher , nian (Lit: year) attacks and eats humans at the end of every year, and so to scare this beast away people in China set off fireworks during the Spring Festival. However, in the new animated film, Nian must become a hero who saves the Spring Festival holiday.

Time for romance

Three films are scheduled to release on Valentines' Day this year. Although all romance films, Run for Love, Kill Time, and Mr. High Heels actually are quite different from each other.

Featuring five short segments directed by five of China's most popular young directors such as Teng Huatao (TV series Dwelling Narrowness) and Zhang Meng (The Piano in a Factory) Chaussures Femme Nike VaporMax Moc Flyknit Triple Noir Pas Cher , Run for Love is an anthology film that reveals these directors' understanding of love.

The stories feature unmarried lovers looking for a relationship, a married couple in search of their lost child as well as lesbian couples. While LGBT topics have long been taboo in Chinese mainland films, this shows how things seem to have opened up in recent years.

Adapted from suspense novelist Cai Jun's book of the same name, Kill Time features a story in which the characters are all linked to a murder case that occurred 15 years prior.

Just when Tian Xiaomai is about to get married, her father's death disturbs her peaceful life. As Tian goes through her policeman father's notes, she finds herself getting caught up in an unsolved murder case that reminds her of her first love.

While Kill Time looks to build suspense, Mr. High Heels Chaussures Homme Nike Air Max 97 Blanche Pas Cher , on the other hand, is shooting for the laughs.

While director Lu Ke is still a relatively new name to audiences, the film's scriptwriter and producer Eva Jin is known for romance comedy Sophie's Revenge (1999). The film also stars a number of new actors and actr.
